X2Pro does not do any sample rate or bit depth conversion on the audio that it embeds in the AAF. Pro Tools does not care if audio is different samples rates or bit depths, so what tool is he using to try to open the AAF?
If you really need the audio to be the same sample rate and bit depth you would have to convert it before using it in FCP X, or perhaps you could convert it and then relink to it before export.

Our sound editor can't import our AAF as is. He mentioned that it might be due to having different khz in our timeline, some 48, 41 and 96. Can we force all the different audio khz to the same rate at 48hkz and 24bit?
