hi

when i reimport my xml in final cut x, it opens fine.
so what now ??
it seems like your program can’t read it that’s all ! very annoying since i have only a few days left until i have to hand the aaf export to the sound editor !!

what do i do ??

It is slightly odd that you are getting the exact same message from the fix.xml.

If you are taking the fix.fcpxml I sent and putting it straight through X2Pro and are getting the same error message, can you see what happens if you hold SHIFT and click start in X2Pro. This should create an aaf. without any media. If it still comes up with the fatal error then the xml is definitely corrupt.

One other thing we can suggest is re-exporting your xml out of FCP X (as a 1.7xml and a 1.6xml) to see if Final Cut will create a fully correct xml file.

Hi Amine,

This is a problem with how FCP X creates some xml files.Your XML describes some assets as having no audio, but then it tries to reference the assets audio later on and then discovers it cant find any and then returns an error. We are working on a way to get around this Final Cut X bug.

I have attached a new version of your xml which should hopefully fix the problem you are seeing. But in the case it doesn't, it would be extremely helpful to us if you would forward the error message X2Pro displays when using the fix.fcpxml.

Many thanks,
