Hi Romeo,

If you cannot upload the files, can you advise on what version of R3D they are / were created with.

Thanks.

Hey James,

I can open my r3d file. Even when I drag the folder or clip to media location it will send the “cannot open file” regarding that r3d clip. But It will also send the message with other r3d files.

These r3d clips are big. Up to 2gbs.

Thanks for ur help James

Hi Romeo,

Can you prove you can access that r3d file in finder, if so can you go to the folder that contains the r3d file and drag this path into the window and forward a pic of the media location window please.
I think we are going to need a copy of the XML you are using and the r3d file, how big is the r3d file as we might have to provide you with a link to upload it.

Yours sincerely

James

Hey James,

Thanks for your help. I tried dragging the path into the media location and it’s still giving me the same message. Not too sure what’s going on. :(

Hi Romeo,

You are on the wrong forum, I thought you were talking about X2Pro, and you are using X2Pro5 :-)
x2pro.net/forums/forum/x2pro5/

Can you open up finder, and go to Daniele_1b/Daniele_short and then drag this path into the X2Pro5 media location window.

Many thanks.

Hey James,

That’s what odd it’s just showing the green check mark in media locations.

Hi Romeoc,

Do you have access to that location ? Can you go to settings for x2pro, and select the Media Locations tab, do you see the root folder listed, if not can you add ///volumes/Daniele_1b/

Yours sincerely

James

I’m having trouble converting XML to AAF. It doesn’t show any media missing before the conversion. Then I get this message. “Cannot open file…”

If anyone can help it would be much appreciated. I’m not too great with tech and I bought this 3rd party app to get an aaf for a short film I made editing with Final Cut Pro.
