Dear Graeme,
Thank you for your answer.
The file is present as an alias. At first I was afraid that this was the cause of the failure to convert XML to AAF, because many other files are present as aliases...
But I blindly followed your suggestion, adding the main drive (Macintosh HD) to the media locations, and it worked fine!
I'm not sure I fully understand the mechanisms underlying all this, anyway that just made my day (well, my evening) as the sound mixer was expecting the AAF soon.
Many thanks for your help.
Regards, Etienne

Are you sure that the clip in question is available?
It's a file called "5F1A0382.MOV_with_Audio Recorder 1_1.mov" on a drive called "G-DRIVE mobile with Thunderbolt" in the folder "Film 1945.fcpbundle/Seq04 data/Original Media".
Can you please check to see if the file is in that location.
If the file is there, can you please remove all media locations, then add the main system drive (not the G-DRIVE) to the media locations and try to convert it again.

Hello,
I encounter the same kind of failure as al_hudson did below.
Please find attached a copy of the error message as well as my XML file (exported from FCPX 10.2.3) and a screen capture of my media locations in X2Pro preferences.
My current version of OS X is 10.10.5.
Could you help me to fix this issue, please ?
I'm new to X2Pro and have no idea of what I'm doing wrong.
Best regards, Etienne

What version of X2Pro are you using? Can you try with v3.0.5?
If that doesn't work, please copy/paste the error message from 3.0.5 and attach your fcpxml

Does anyone know how to fix this error?
Writing AAF file
Adding assets to AAF file
Adding essence for asset [P1130073] to AAF file
Opening audio extractor for portion 0 of asset [P1130073]
Failed to initialise audio extractor with default bit depth of 24
Error Setting up for audio extraction (The requested URL was not found on this server.)
Suggestion: Does this movie contain an unsupported audio format ?
No AAF file has been generated.
I have the main directory of my external hard drive where all audio files are stored listed as a media source for X2Pro.
As seems to be everyone's case, I'm on a time sensitive deadline. Just bought the full version today and was hoping it would be an easy export!
