Dear Jade,
Will pop you a mail, would you be able to upload the XML and AAF and advise where the gaps are in the timeline and we will investigate. Would also be grateful if you could confirm the OS, FCPX and X2Pro versions please.
Yours Sincerely
James

I just experienced this myself, sending a multicam 1hr standup comedy special from FCPX thru X2Pro to the Sound Designer. When he opened the AAF (embedded, 10sec handles) in Pro Tools, it had hundreds of tiny (1/20th of a frame) gaps in his timeline, that aren't there in my FCPX timeline at all.
The last post was over 11 months ago on this - has there been any development on a fix for this bug? Otherwise the Sound Designer has to manually drag the audio back to cover the gaps hundreds of times.

There should be no frames missing from your audio. If the frames are acyually missing then that is a bug. However, I think what you might be seeing can be explained below.
Clip positions in an fcpxml are expressed as vulgar fractions (e.g. 1/3 seconds), but in the AAF they much be expressed as decimal fractions(e.g. 1.333 seconds). That there must be some rounding done in the conversion. X2Pro is accurate to 1ms in its rounding calculations, so it possible that there could be an inaudible 1ms gap between some clips in the AAF. Are your gaps longer than one ms?

I just bought this and I had a bit of a panic when my first conversion brought up the error 1 message, but thankfully the recent 3.0 .5 update cured that, so it worked in the end BUT...
In pro tools, the audio in the timeline had the occasional 1 frame gaps between clips which was odd. My first thought is that it is related to drop frame somehow... but both my project and the pro tools session were 29.97 DF. It wasn't a huge problem but I did have to manually crossfade the clips to close the gaps and if I have to do that every time, it's going to get annoying. Is this a known bug, or is there something I should do differently?
