There's got to be a way for X2 to skip over troublesome audio files and output an AAF file instead of refusing to generate anything. We run into this constantly and have to resort to using XtoCC to generate OMF files via FCP7. Please add this behavior to a future update ASAP!

Peter
I got your email this morning.
I sent the email with the license to you twice yesterday, I am not sure why you wouldn't have received it.
Do you have a seperate email or place i can put it for you to download?
Many thanks

Jeremy, my OS is 10.10.5.
Unfortunately I can't send you the video due of copyright reasons. I hope, the problem will be fixed soon. Best, Peter

Peter,
I have emailed you directly.
I would like to still get the FCPXML, your Mac OS version #, and the file that is being reported in the error message if we can.
The filename is Erinnerungskitsch/Grunewald/Holocaust-Mahnmal, and is most likely a MXF file on your system.

Hi Jeremy,
I've read in another post that you've emailed an earlier version to someone experiencing this issue. Could you please do the same to me so I can continue using X2Pro until this is sorted. I had no issues prior to the V3.0.4 & V3.0.5 updates.
Many thanks,
Perry

Hi again, further to my below report...
I just did 2 x test XML's (with & without a file mentioned in the error message). Conversion with offending file failed - error message below. Removing the mentioned file resulted in a successful AAF conversion. Are you able to determine what the problem is with this file? It's a Camera file shot of a Sony F5 with dialogue. Both XMLs are attached and are much simpler than previous XML reported below.
Error message...
Writing AAF file
Adding assets to AAF file
Adding essence for asset [FOWLER0013] to AAF file
Opening audio extractor for portion 0 of asset [FOWLER0013]
Failed to initialise audio extractor with default bit depth of 24
Error Timed out waiting for XPC response
Suggestion: Check Console for errors.
No AAF file has been generated.

HI,
Having the same conversion issue - not able to generate AAFs from FCPXML. Have had no problems up until today however I haven't used X2Pro in a couple of months which probably would have been V3.0.2. Now up to V3.0.5 via automatic updates. Mac running OSX 10.9.5 through
Error message below...

No AAF file has been generated.
X2Pro Audio Convert 3.0.5
If there's a work around I'd love to know about it asap please as this is causing considerable issues trying to get files out for audio mixing. OMFs through FCP7 was my only option today which is far from ideal. Many thanks & good luck getting it sorted.
Cheers
