Thanks Jeremy. Wow, quite an ordeal! Will try that and report back.

Thanks,
Nate

Nathan,

My apologies for the delay.
I got a little confused when looking at the screen capture error message in your post and trying to troubleshoot the asset listed in the XML as that id number.
When i loaded the 2 XMLs into my X2Pro, I was able to locate the problem.

In both of your XMLs, the file named "A001_C004_0829Q8" is listed as having video, but not having audio.
However, later in the XML it is referenced with audio tracks to be used that have never been mentioned before.
This actually happens in your main project XML with 18 different clips wich are used multiple times in your timeline. (including the clip referenced above)
The clip names are:
A001_C004_0829Q8
A002_C003_0829RP
A003_C001_0829MP
A003_C003_08290F
A002_C006_0829ZH
A001_C002_0829Z7
A003_C002_08293O
A002_C005_0829UP
A001_C001_0829ZQ
A002_C004_082904
A003_C004_0829JS
A003_C008_0829JV
A004_C001_0829TF
A002_C008_0829Y0
A004_C004_0829JB
A002_C001_0829UP
A003_C005_0829B6
A001_C003_0829OH

We have seen this previously, and along with trying to get FCP X to relink the file to get the correct information in the XML, we have asked the users to report this behavior to Apple.
This is an error or bug with FCP X that happens from time to time with some user's XMLs.

The workaround is to make a copy of your project for backup and then locate the clip in your timeline and either remove and redit the file back into your timeline, or move the media to a different location (causing it to go offline) and then relink the media and see if FCP X will update the clip with the correct audio details.

I know this is a lot of clips and time involved in this, but there is not another way of fixing the references inside the XML created by FCP that we know of.

Hello,

X2Pro is coming up with an error when I first load an XML file. I've used X2Pro for years and never had this issue. I have no compound clips or auditions.

I've attached the screenshot of the X2Pro error as well as XML files. I even tried doing a simple test with an empty timeline and only one audio clip. X2Pro still has the same issue parsing the XML file.

I've read many posts on here and none of the solutions seem to apply to me. I've opened the XMLs and I don't have any offline media or 'src=' going nowhere.

Along with everyone else on here, I'm on a deadline and can't get the turnovers to the sound editor.

Thanks and all the best,
Nate
