Thank you for the additional information.
We have figured out a few things and i was able to run the XML through a fix that we built and i think it may be usable now.
I am emailing you the "fixed" XML.
Please try that and let me know how it works for you.

In regards to the disabled clips, if you open up the X2Pro Preferences window, the option check box is there to discard the disabled clips or leave them in the timeline, but muted.

Hello Jeremy,

we have found another trouble with our XML, some of the effects we have are .CAF files and X2Pro doesn't seem to like them and don't transcode them in .wave file.
It could be an good idea since most of the effects that are offered with FCP X are in this format. I know that these effects are not very very good but they could be quite helpful before the sound editing.

I have another question, how can we chose if the disabled clips in FCP should be discard or simply muted in Protools ?

Regards

Thank you very much Jeremy,

We have some new informations that could help you (or not).
It seems that all the problematical assets are these that have the embedded R3D sound. If we open each of these problematical clips in their timelines and delete the embedded sound, then --> it works. BUT, as you have noticed, there are too many clips like that in the edit, so it would be quite painful... If you have an idea, or if your wonderful team could help us, we will send you a bottle of french wine. Or cheese, if you prefer.

Thanks again,
Regards

My apologies for the delay in response.
I have been going through your FCPXML for quite a while now.

The original error message is one that we have seen before. In essence the clip named "A111_C005_0101IY" which is referred to as Asset Id "r10" in the FCPXML, does not have any audio mentioned in the asset listing of the XML.
However, later in the XML in the actual timeline part, it is referenced with audio tracks that have never been mentioned before.

That part was simple, but normally what we have found is that if there is an error for one of these instances, in reality; there are several instances of this same thing many times in the XML.

I have made it through Asset Id r515 and there has been 240 individual clips so far (most used multiple times in the timeline) that are referenced incorrectly.

This problem is a bug or an incorrect output by FCP X and not with X2Pro, but the fix that we normally suggest would have you complete scrapping or re-editing your entire timeline almost, so I will talk to my app developers tomorrow and i will get back to you to see how you should proceed.

Here are some news.
From what we see, the issue comes from the embedded sound in the R3D files. We have erased the file X2Pro warns us about (the the one with the ID r10), make a new XML and now, there is a new asset that X2Pro cannot find and it's, once more, and embedded camera sound.

Thanks for answering,

here is the text :
"Unable to parse FCP XML file to obtain project information

Details:
Getting asset with Id r10
Unable to find asset with Id r10
Suggestions:
- Ensure that the file is not locked by another application and is readable;
- Ensure that this is a valid FCP XML file from a released version of FCP X;
- Ensure that this is the export of a Project, not of a Library or Event;
- Ensure that this is not an empty project (or that all audio is disabled);

X2Pro Audio Convert 3.0.5"

Would you please provide your FCPXML and the actual text of the error message (not a screen capture), please?
Many thanks

Hello everybody,

We are trying to export AFF for the sound editing from a 1h40minutes movie shot in R3D. There are sound in the R3D files that helps us to synchronize them.
But, when we want to make a AAF with X2Pro, it says the message that is attached below.
Can you help us ?
Thanks

We are on El Capitan, with FCP 10.2.2 and X2Pro 3.0.5
