Attached is an edited version of your FCPXML that X2Pro will load. I don't have your media files, but I can convert it without media. You may try it on your system if you like.

Things that I have changed:
  • Removed 7 audio instances that had no reference (as described in my last post)
  • Changed 5 assets to have enough audio information to be used by instances of it in the sequence

It may be that when you try to convert it with the media online, you get other errors because the media files don't have enough channels for what I have put in the asset description in the FCPXML, but hopefully not...

As I said before, your FCPXML was invalid in 2 separate ways, so I recommend you get in touch with Apple.

Your FCPXML is invalid. I suggest you contact Apple about this because it is not something that we are able to fix, or effectively work around. More in depth detail follows:

The FCPXML doesn't contain enough information about 7 instances of audio in your project, specifically these 7 audio elements don't have a reference to a clip asset. If you try to import the fcpxml into FCP X, you'll see an error message saying that it can't import the FCPXML because "Element audio does not carry attribute ref". It displays that error 7 times, just like I found when looking at contents of the FCPXML.

I have identified the lines in the FCPXML that are missing the ref attributes, they are:
  • Audio element named: "GrantVO7A01.56799EF2.04B460 - a1" with a duration of 0.025 seconds
    • Line 1440
    • Line 1486
    • Line 1591
    • Line 2930
  • Audio element named: "GrantVO7A01.56817C17.914EC0 - a1" with a duration of 0.033 seconds
    • Line 3317
    • Line 3467
    • Line 4181

Since the durations of those audio instances are so short, I edited the xml and removed them to see whether FCP X would import it, and whether X2Pro could then convert it. Unfortunately FCP X doesn't immediately error, but it seems to get stuck half way, and X2Pro is still not able to convert it because other audio elements reference audio sources that are not described in the asset section. (This looks like it could be another Apple bug)

Was the FCPXML created by FCP X?
Did you upgrade FCP X since starting this project?
Can you try exporting it again to see if the same thing happens?

Unfortunately, I have a new project with new errors. Please advice:

"
Unable to parse FCP XML file to obtain project information

Details:
Getting asset with Id
Unable to find asset with Id
Suggestions:
- Ensure that the file is not locked by another application and is readable;
- Ensure that this is a valid FCP XML file from a released version of FCP X;
- Ensure that this is the export of a Project, not of a Library or Event;
- Ensure that this is not an empty project (or that all audio is disabled);

"

The drive and files aren't locked. The xml export was made via Share menu.
