Dear Sven,
If you can get the original hard drive and attach this then yes that may also work. Incidentally in the path I gave you, did you escape the %20's as spaces or created a path with %20's in.
Yours Sincerely

Dear Sven,
If the path exists and the clip is located there then it shouldn't give a URL error. As another workaround could you remove the clip from the XML and then re-import it, to see whether it can reference the clip in its actual location.
I have heard back from Apple and they want to know whether you have a developer program account, if not then could you please go the Final Cut Pro X support feedback page, the link can also be found on the Apple support page if you can navigate down to the Final Cut Pro X support page.
So your aware our reference for this is 6102, which would be handy to advise Apple when you talk to them so that if they need to contact us we will know the details.
Yours Sincerely

Dear Sven,
The issue is the XML created is showing the path for that essence, and that's the path we are expecting to see the media in. To get you up and running you might just want to create that path and copy in the mov, then when we process the XML we will see the media.
I think you also need to advise Apple, as the XML shouldn't be created with a bogus path for media that is being used. I will raise with our contacts at Apple however they invariably require more information about the sequence and environment you are working in than we can give them, so they tend to advise that the end user needs to approach them directly.
Will let you know.

Dear James,
I cannot find the path that you mentioned: Volumes/DMC-12/HARE/Proxy%20Files/Final%20Cut%20Original%20Media/2015-09-26
I do find the A002C011_150926_R4TR.mov clip in the raw footage folder, but not in that location.
Do you think that getting the original editing hard drive sent to me would resolve that problem?
Thank you.
Sven

Dear Srethemeir,
Can you check from the machine running X2Pro that it can indeed see the path
Volumes/DMC-12/HARE/Proxy%20Files/Final%20Cut%20Original%20Media/2015-09-26
If you can, can you then see if the file A002C011_150926_R4TR.mov exists in that location and if it does, does it play ok ?

Dear Srethemeier,
The error is saying that the path given in the XML for the clip in question cannot be resolved by the X2Pro software. Therefore can you please attach the XML for us to get the path to the specific clip as written in the XML and then see whether there is anything odd in the path or whether the media is actually where it says it should be.
Many thanks

Hello,
could you please explain this error message to me?
Writing AAF file
Adding assets to AAF file
Adding essence for asset [6A-1 - [A002C011_150926_R4TR]] to AAF file
Opening audio extractor for portion 0 of asset [6A-1 - [A002C011_150926_R4TR]]
Failed to initialise audio extractor with default bit depth of 24
Error Setting up for audio extraction (The requested URL was not found on this server.)
Suggestion: Does this movie contain an unsupported audio format ?
No AAF file has been generated.
All files are available on a local hard drive, in BWF format, 24 bit.. and accessible regarding the FCPXML file (e.g. sandboxing is not preventing access as far as I can see..)
I will need this problem to be solved asap, please. This is really hindering my ability to work efficiently.
Thank you.
