Dear Paul,
The error could be caused by a number of reasons, we know of two, one which we have resolved and another which we are still working on, unfortunately they both have exactly the same error message in X2Pro. Will create a ticket and forward you a link to the 3.0.6 version.

Sorry to gatecrash your exchanges. Have been reading this topic with great interest as we are getting this error message.
We are running FCPX 10.1.4 on Mavericks and we have X2Pro 3.0.5.
Should we be using an older version of X2Pro? Or do we need to wait for a new beta version?
