I'm afraid I don't have any suggestions as to why Pro Tools would hang.
If you can make your AAF available, I would be happy to download it and try to open it here?
What version of Pro Tools are you using?
Is Pro Tools running on a Mac, or on a Windows PC?

2 days ago, I used X2ProLE and it worked.
I exported an XML from FCPX (current version). X2ProLE opened it and created an AAF file.
Pro Tools version 12 opened it fine.
Today, I repeated the process with newly edited piece in FCPX and ProTools hangs up - can't open the AAF.
Any suggestions?
