And just to add, I am certain there is only so much you can do on your end and the rest is up to apple, so it's not a criticism of your software just would make more sense if it could point to the audio in the TIMELINE (aka project).

The funny thing in this instance is that the media is QT media rendered from R3D outside of FCP X and brought in as QT FILES. So that is why it has me stumped. FCPX and X2Pro should be seeing that as any other QT media, no?

David,
The fcpxml only contains references to the Original Media. Even if you are working off proxies or "optimised" media, when you export the fcpxml, paths to the original media are put into the fcpxml.

Ok. I'll share a pet peeve of mine. Let's say, in FCP X I have mixed camera media, a RED r3d file and some 5D footage. Let's say I create proxy media or optimized media with all of the footage and store the r3d file elsewhere for safekeeping.
I edit for a few weeks.
Then with a locked picture I export an fcpx XML for the purposes of extracting the audio with your software.
X2pro wants the r3d file to parse the audio? I don't understand why it can't just take the audio from the rendered media? I do not want to have to reload or relocate the r3d files in order to get the audio which is already available.
I don't know why it works this way, there must be a reason, but whenever I try it I get a parse error or a sample rate error. Why can't x2pro just extract the audio which is being used in the project?
That's why I made the comment, it's probably the most frustrating aspect of your software, when it seems like it should be quite simple. If I open the file in the finder the audio is right in the qt file. why can't I point to where I want it to look, or why can't there be an r3d override button. If I have so much as one r3d clip, it kills the entire process.

Can you expound on your comment that our app doesn't work with R3D audio, please?
Maybe you can post your FCPXML and error message form X2Pro to begin with.

Hi,
As the title states version 3.05 does not open in El Capitain version 10.11.3 No sure what is up. I think I will delete the app and re-download for starters.
