Try upgrading to the latest release version on the App store and then clearing any Media Locations you have setup in the X2Pro User Preferences and adding just your main system drive and see if that resolves things.

hi jeremy,
i don’t know if the problem comes from fcpx or x2pro
i’m not in the editing room any more but i kept the library with me
the cam sound, although it's dicarded comes in the way
does the fcpxml keeps the cam sound wrongly activated?
i send you some screenshots and the fcpxml from an excerpt
as well as the complete one (EP5)

This is very odd, as I have not seen an error message with too many tracks come form X2Pro.
Would you be able to attach your FCPXML and X2Pro log message that you get?
If this error is coming from another program, please let us know.

hi,
editing a mini series with fcpx, footage has been shot with an amira arri, with a recording device and a witness sound on the camera.
although camera sound tracks are discarded x2pro seems to take them into account and refuses to process : too may tracks
i need then to "shift-command-G" the sound clips to separate the cam sound from the connected sound (synced with video threw sync n link)
BUT I LOOSE the sound levels...
unless i embed the sound which is not an option since it would keep an awful amount of sound of no use and since the mix man doesn't want it that way.
does the bug comes from fcpx or x2pro?
thanks,
ercorr
