I hope you're not off work yet, lol! But I did as you asked and sent you the required info. I also cleared media locations and reset. Tried again. same problem. :(

Thank you for your XML.
The path to the file that the error message refers to leads to a folder on the desktop.
This folder doesn't look like a normal folder on a Mac, if you have FCP X on the computer, because it is the Project bundle folder, however , it is still a normal browse- able folder.
Would you browse inside of the "The Accounting 2" folder on the desktop and inside the "The Accounting 2 Library.fcpbundle/4-4-16/Original Media/" sub-folder and there should be the file called "large_blaze.mp3".
Will you verify that file is in that location.
Also, will you send me an actual screen capture of your X2Pro Media Locations that are configured and try clearing them and trying the conversion again.
Thank you for your assistance.

I understand your frustration, but I can only help you if I get the files and details i asked for previously.
your FCPXML
your Mac OS version
any X2Pro Media Locations that you have setup (if any)
Along with this information, please try removing all media locations that you have configured and adding just the main system drive to the locations list. This is typically a drive named "Macintosh HD) and will actually include all volumes including external drives and USB drives that may contain the media you have used.

HI Jeremy,
I originally set it for the folder on my desktop where all my clips, audio, spx, etc are kept. I still got error messages. I changed my preferences to referencing wav files etc so I might have a clue on the error report as to which clips were a problem. There was one which I replaced with another audio clip from our external recorded audio ( all the other clips of that format "passed") but still couldn't get a file so I changed my media locations to my entire hard drive. I still can't get a file. Now it's referencing files that it didn't before. I checked all the formats on my audio and could find none (I took out a couple of suspicious ones) that were formats that were not wav or mp3. I'm so frustrated!!!!

I too have received the dreaded --can't figure out where to go to fix it--message!
Writing AAF file
Adding assets to AAF file
Adding essence for asset [large_blaze] to AAF file
Adding essence data to AAF file for portion 0 of asset [large_blaze]
Reading audio data from audio extractor : 599168 samples
Failed to read 599168 samples
Error Extracting audio data (read 1091678 bytes of 1198336 required) (Cannot Open)
Suggestion: Does this movie contain an unsupported audio format ?
No AAF file has been generated.
Waiting to find out what to do!
