Dear Mtermale,

We have looked at the file in detail and in the description for the audio track is an lpcm atom that is invalid. So one of the services you applied to the media after it was created is causing the issue.

Hope the above helps.

Yours sincerely

Yes, these were originally Red .R3D 5k files with no audio. They were transcoded using Red Cine X Pro - and the externally recorded multichannel audio wav files were synced in the program as well. They were transcoded to ProRes 1080 files for editing - with the baked in multichannel wav files.

Can you tell us exactly how the files were created, e.g drag/drop directly from a certain make/model of camera, or ingested somehow?

Thank you for providing those files. I can see exactly what you are describing on my system here. I have created a support ticket against this issue (6361) and we'll keep you updated with any progress.

Quick update on this problem - I converted the FCPXML via XtoCC and imported resulting XML into Premiere Pro CC. I then exported the resulting Premiere timeline to an AAF and imported into Logic Pro X. This brought in all the correct camera audio with no static noise. Very strange workaround indeed. I definitely lose a lot of the organizational stuff from X2Pro translation though and would like to figure out why it's not working with these particular camera ProRes files (with embedded multichannel mono audio).

Thanks for the reply! Yes, here is a link to download the FCPXML and one ProRes camera clip with audio that is not translating. Let me know if you can come up with any solutions! This is a high-profile project and I am kind of stuck at the moment.

Are you able to provide access to your fcpxml and at least one of your camera files?

Wanted to add that when I try import the FCPXML directly into Logic Pro X - the camera audio files/tracks seem to not be present. When going through X2PRO, the regions are present, but the audio content is static noise.

I am having an issue using X2PRO to convert FCPXML to AAF. After the AAF creation, When importing the resulting AAF into Logic Pro X (all latest versions of software) - my camera audio is turned in a track of static noise. My other audio files are fine. The camera audio is multiple mono channels of audio. The camera clips are ProRes 422 format. I've never experienced this problem before and would appreciate any help or solutions on how to fix this! Thanks!
