Here is the error message:

Unable to parse FCP XML file to obtain project information

Details:
Getting asset with Id r15
Unable to find asset with Id r15
Suggestions:
- Ensure that the file is not locked by another application and is readable;
- Ensure that this is a valid FCP XML file from a released version of FCP X;
- Ensure that this is the export of a Project, not of a Library or Event;
- Ensure that this is not an empty project (or that all audio is disabled);

X2Pro Audio Convert 3.0.13

Also, the source files are housed on two external hard drives, clearly not included in the attached screen shot. Last week, I tried to change the media locations and the program would not let me select a file. It would be great if I could select a folder, but it will not allow me to do that.

Ok, now we are on to something. "r15" is a RED file.
Can I get the text from the error message you just tried that changed asset numbers?

Also, would you please provide a screen capture of your X2Pro User Preference "Media Locations".

Hi -

The "sample" clip is transferring. It is 4GB and 50%.

When I originally received the error message with my project, I created two new projects in FCPX - one with a single C300 clip and another with a single Red clip. I then used X2P as I normally would. The project with the C300 clip created the AAF with no problem. The project with the Red clip did not! I received that same error message ONLY with the Red clip.

I'm happy to produce a console log. Can you please walk me through this because I have no idea what a console log is.

I just ran X2Pro again with my project file. The error message is the same EXCEPT instead of 14, now the number is 15.

Thanks!
Sandra

The original Error message on this one is
"Getting asset with Id r14
Unable to find asset with Id r14"

In the full project XML, there is no asset with an id of "r14".
The only thing at "r14" in the project XML is a format setting.

From XML:
<format id="r14" frameDuration="1001/24000s" width="6144" height="2592"/>

This format id is used several times, but i was never able to see anything in the FCPXML labeling an asset with the id of "r14".

I think getting the console log for this would be helpful, but i don't think this has any relation to RED files, at least not based on the error message from X2Pro.

Also, can you confirm 100% that the error message that you included is from the project FCPXML that you also included.

Dear Sandy,

Did you have any joy uploading the suspect RED file for us to look at ?

Many thanks.

Yes, please look at it. I attached the fcpxml for the entire project and one clip isolated in the original attachments.

What else should I send you?

Dear Sandy,

Its obviously past your 4th June deadline, so I am not quite sure what we can do other than as you have narrowed it down to some of the Red files to actually look at the one referenced in the SampleRed....xml.

If you are allowed to send it to us I will pop you a mail with some ftp details on.

Yours sincerely

James.

Receiving this message while using X2Pro:

- Ensure that this is not an empty project (or that all audio is disabled);

I've taken the following steps:

- updated all software and my OS
- tried to relink files in FCPX
- tried instructions using this forum thread: x2pro.net/index.php?option=com_kunena&view=topic&catid=4&id=1223&Itemid=744

Clearly the problem is the red files. My timeline includes a very complicated sound edit, where audio has already been detached from video and moved around in different locations. I'm also mixing C300, RED, Go Pro and Zoom H4N video and audio.

I'm under a tight deadline (June 4 - TODAY) to get this exported.

Has anyone read this message? Can anyone help today?

Thanks!
