Dear Chris,
Retiming is now supported in X2Pro V4, provided you have also upgraded the FCP to 10.3 and use the V1.6 XML output..
Yours Sincerely and thanks for your patience.

Hi James,
Thank you for the reply.
Personally, this specific issue is not a headache of mine anymore - but I do know of several small production companies suffering from this. Sure, there's a workaround, and it's also possible to avoid this issue when editing, and transcoding material to prores seems to avoid it as well..
Thing is, though, that's grossly overrating the average post-person's capabilities. You better believe that people will abuse a timeline as much as possible, and forget about any kind of technical knowledge from the average user - that is a 1 in 10 (or maybe even 1 in 20) person.
It's good to hear you are working on this, I'll look forward to the next version of X2pro for sure!
/Chris

Hi Chris,
So you are aware we are testing a new version that in addition to some extra functionality, handles retiming differently, As there are some fundamental changes in this new code I hope you can appreciate that there is consequently a protracted testing and qualification process.. I have however asked to see whether your specific issue will be resolved in the new code and we will be able to test and advise on this.
I appreciate it is frustrating but please bear with us, if we could have incorporated support for retiming in the older code base we would have.
Yours Sincerely
James.

Thanks,
It's been two months and 2 weeks now, I'm thinking "shortly" has come and gone ;)
I can add that the same problems still persist - fortunately, I'v declined to do *any* sort of audio exports since then, wish I could say the same for our editing assistant, who spent a whole day yesterday, and ended up exporting .aiff stems instead.
Hope to get a progress update soon on x2pro!

I apologize for the time this is taking, but we are looking into what we can do be better and safer manage the handling of re-timed content.
We are doing a lot of work on X2Pro at the moment and will be able to give a more formal update on what we intend to do and when we expect to release any changes shortly.

Ah Ha, with your settings in X2Pro, i was able to reproduce the error that you got.
I will document it and pass it off to my developers with high importance.
Thank you for your help.

Interesting that you get a conversion. We are experiencing this across different machines.
Here are so,e screenshots of the setup used in this instance.
And I also made a quick video

Thank you so much for this detail and for your time on this project and troubleshooting the errors.
I imported your library into my FCP X and exported a new XML from your project, to have the links to your media on my machine and the XML converted.
I tried in OS X 10.10.5 and 10.11.4 and both had the same successful conversion on my machine.
I have posted my test details to my developers, but i wanted to ask a few questions to try to troubleshoot this.
Would you be able to post screen captures of the X2Pro Settings you are using?
Would you confirm what version of OS X, and FCP X that you are using on the machine that got this error?
(Is it still OS X 10.11.4 and FCPX 10.2.3 )
Would you be able to provide me with the XML export settings that you use out of FCP X?
Many thanks and we will continue to investigate this together.

This a follow up to
this thread
I've managed to isolate an error using one clip, retimed to 50%.
When exporting an FCPXML of this project, containing this one clip, I get the error that we were having on our bigger projects.
I have zipped the library including media file here .
In the link, you wil fin a .zip containing the library with media and the exported xml.
I hope this is useful to you, since we are still having major issues with every program we are trying to generate .aaf files from.
