Dear Curtisl,
I am sorry you feel that way, we do try our best on this forum. However fundamentally if you purchased the app from Apple, they will HAVE a record and they will be able to provide you with an update.
Yours sincerely
James.

Like I said very unprofessional. Good luck with your product going forward as you alienate users.

All X2Pro genuine copies of X2Pro and all updates are distributed through the Mac App Store. The Mac App Store is run by Apple (if you buy X2Pro, you are buying it from Apple, not from us directly), so if there are problems downloading the updates, we can't possibly help even if we wanted to, because it's not our system dealing with the purchase, or providing the download.
Apple is normally very helpful if there are app store issues, so I suggest you contact them directly.

It's unfortunate that a professional like this offers no solutions other than to pass off the problem to another vendor. I take that back, X2Pro is not a professional app.

Sorry; I see in your first post that you are using OS X Mavericks.
If you are not able to update the app from the App Store, that indicates that either
We can't help you with App Store problems. You will have to contact Apple for help with that.

- You're either signed in to the App Store with a different Apple ID to the one that was used to purchase it
- The App Store thinks you haven't purchased it.

The most recent version of X2Pro is on the App store, where you should have purchased and downloaded the app from initially.
If you will check back on the app store, you should be able to upgrade your app from there.
Try that and let us know how it goes.

It looks like you are using an old version of X2Pro that can't cope with this newer version of fcpxml. You can download the latest version of X2Pro from the app store , and it should be able to convert your project.

Since upgrading to FCPX 10.1.4 I have been been getting the following error message:
Unable to parse FCP XML file to obtain project information
Suggestions:
- Ensure that the file is not locked by another application and is readable;
- Ensure that this is a valid FCP XML file from a released version of FCP X;
- Ensure that this is the export of a Project, not of an Event;
- Ensure that this is not an empty project (or that all audio is disabled);
No problems with FCPX 10.0.9. I'm using Mavericks so I can't upgrade beyond 10.1.4 Any suggestions for a fix beyond going back to 10.0.9
