Hi Mary,
We don't support 2.1.9 anymore, the code was cracked and made available on the internet for download, so if you didn't purchase it from the app store I would be very cautious about the machine you are running it on.
Yours Sincerely
James

Dear Mary,
Can you please arrange to upgrade to the release version from the app store, 3.0.13 soonest, To answer your question about the AAF we did create an AAF but it would not help you as there is no actual media inside it.
Yours Sincerely
James

Hi James,
I'm not at the same computer now - but I think it's the 2.3 version - I downloaded it about last April or so - I'd had a different version which didn't work with fcp x but then this one did... I'm sure it worked okay previously... I then used the LE version but had huge file sizes which are no good for my sound eitor - because the 'handles' option is greyed out.
Last night I tried - dragging the project to the desktop - relinking the files etc but I keep getting the same messages as before.
It's actually an emergency npw - if the xml is okay as you say, is there any chance you could make an aaf for me?
Many thanks.
Mary

Dear Mary,
The XML goes through with warnings about retiming and loudness used, but fundamentally their is no issue with it, itself. I have to think that there are possibly permissions issues or access rights. Can you move the XML to the desktop and see if you can import it from there ?
Please advise
Yours Sincerely
James

Dear mouser,
If you have been through the list of suggestions, then would you be able to attach the XML to the forum for us to look at it.
Yours Sincerely
James

Hi,
When I try to convert my xml to an aaf in x2pro I get this message:
Unable to parse FCP XML file to obtain project information
Suggestions:
- Ensure that the file is not locked by another application and is readable;
- Ensure that this is a valid FCP XML file from a released version of FCP X;
- Ensure that this is the export of a Project, not of an Event;
- Ensure that this is not an empty project (or that all audio is disabled);
Any suggestions?
