Dear OnceBrewed,
You should be able to open it in MC, however the timings will be out, so not sure what benefit you would get from it. As an aside we can open them here in the lab on a MC 8.5.3
Yours Sincerely

Hello Cris,
Thank you for your inquiry.
The difference in AAF specifics from Pro Tools to MC is that Pro Tools wants things broken down into time (or miliseconds) and Media Composer wants this broken down or referenced in frames.
The AAF that X2Pro creates is a standard AAF, so it should be able to open in both softwares, but ithas only been developed for and tested with Pro Tools.
I hope this answers your questions

Hello,
I'm not an editor but am involved in a project where I am generating material in FCP X. My client uses Avid and their production house works with Pro Tools. In an attempt to quickly streamline our workflow we bought X2Pro and although the AAF export can be read by Pro Tools it can't by my client's Avid. Could their be an obvious reason for this which I have overlooked?
Thanks
Cris
