Dear Eric,
We have raised as a ticket here for development to look into as we cannot see why we are failing to parse the V1.6 XML.
Regarding retiming and compound clips, they are (or should be) passed through in your current version if you use a 1.6 XML..
Yours Sincerely
James

i have the same problem. XML 1.5 works flawlessly whereas 1.6 produces the following error:
Unable to parse FCP XML file to obtain project information
Suggestions:
- Ensure that the file is not locked by another application and is readable;
- Ensure that this is a valid FCP XML file from a released version of FCP X;
- Ensure that this is the export of a Project, not of a Library or Event;
- Ensure that this is not an empty project (or that all audio is disabled);
X2Pro Audio Convert 4.0.11
P.S. any chance of making it possible to work with retiming/conforming and compound clips? i often have mixed frame rates and it's a huge complication
