Dear Ben,
We looked at the 1.6xml crash, this is bug and we are working on a fix for this. The workaround in the meantime would be to use the 1.5xml. With respect to this xml we need to make sure that in X2Pros preferences under media locations that the path /G-PRO%201/WSU%20Wellness/WSU%20Wellness%20Center%20Media/Final%20Cut%20Original%20Media/2016-11-15/ is added so that X2Pro can see the clip
A001_C090_1115ZN_001.r3d. Additionally as a last resort there is the force create AAF feature. that can be enabled, by going to X2Pro preferences and going to Media Handling and selecting "Generate a warning and continue to create an AAF file"..
Will advise on the progress on the issue with the 1.6XML this is our ticket 6861
Yours Sincerely
James

Hi Ben
When we process your xml we get the attached warnings but no actual failures (apart from missing media, which is understandable) so I suspect it might be something with the essence itself, however if you can forward the error ..txt (located in the location where your aaf should have been created) that would be a great help.
Yours Sincerely
James

I have a project with a bunch of R3D files. XML 1.6 doesn't work at all. crashes X2Pro. XML 1.5 works, but gives me error messages for any R3D footage so it won't pop out an AAF. I'm removing all R3D clips now to try it. But hoping you can help I have an audio person waiting in the wings to get this done today.
