That fcpxml still contains the invalid bytes that I mentioned previously. There is still a clip with the name:
THUNDER & RAIN very nice. No overmodulation. Thunder is medium distant.[VT][TAB]SLOT071[VT][TAB]3[TAB]MS
which is invalid inside an xml file.

Did you try converting the fcpxml that I attached with the invalid bytes removed?

- I moved the project to a new library
- Deleted all the audio clips which could cause an issue

Now it only has -> Music & FCP X audio effects and it still not want to do it

A picture of the timeline included.

It still gives me the previous warning.

Tried it but got this

Writing AAF file
Adding assets to AAF file
Adding essence for asset [INSECTS, LARK, WILDEBEEST tiny bit of WIND. Also rufous naped lark and a bit more wind. Busy atmosphere on short grass plain (ndutu triangle), wildebeest very prominent, also plains birds and a lot of crickets due to recent rain. SLOT054 7 MS] to AAF file
Opening audio extractor for portion 0 of asset [INSECTS, LARK, WILDEBEEST tiny bit of WIND. Also rufous naped lark and a bit more wind. Busy atmosphere on short grass plain (ndutu triangle), wildebeest very prominent, also plains birds and a lot of crickets due to recent rain. SLOT054 7 MS]
Failed to initialise audio extractor with default bit depth of 16

That is indeed an invalid XML file. FCP shouldn't really have created it because it contains an invalid byte. In 4 places is the byte 0x0B, which means "LINE TABULATION" or "VERTICAL TAB", but it is not valid to have that character in an XML file because it is a "control character". You will find that FCP will refuse to import that FCPXML for that reason.

It is in your fcpxml because you have a clip called:
THUNDER & RAIN very nice. No overmodulation. Thunder is medium distant.[VT][TAB]SLOT071[VT][TAB]3[TAB]MS
I have replaced the invalid character with [VT] and the normal tabs with [TAB] so they are visible, but in your project it will look more like:
THUNDER & RAIN very nice. No overmodulation. Thunder is medium distant.	SLOT071	3	MS

It's not clear how that got in the clip name, but I doubt you could have typed it accidentally. It more likely that it was bought in via the import process somehow or it was copy/pasted from somewhere.

You can probably fix this by renaming the clip in your library and project and re-exporting a new fcpxml, or alternatively I have attached an fcpxml where I have removed the 4 invalid bytes which both X2Pro and FCP X are happy to work with.

There is a lot of retiming in your FCPXML which will be included at the original speed in the AAF if you convert a v1.5 fcpxml. There is better support for retiming if you are able to export a v1.6 fcpxml.

I actually solved my problem by exporting the XML and reopening it in Resolve. The Audio was there for 99% spend 10min on restructuring it and was able to export it for audio post. But still want to know why this expensive plugin does not work.

Just bought the software and thought I was ready to send my first FCP X project to audio post production. People say, get X2pro and you are fine. It is Sunday now... and I am getting a bit grumpy. I have tried the lot and read about it a lot. I should have just recut the whole thing in FCP 7, would probably be done by now.

But just the simple question I have... What did I miss?

Have a project with simple audio structure
Lane 1 Rough VO
Lane 2 VFX sounds
Lane 3 Music
Lane 4 Atmos

When export XML in any format and open that in X2Pro, it says the same...
