Thank you for your quick response! It is very helpful to know what actually happened here. I was able to get a working XML by duplicating the project, temporarily deleting portions of the duplicate timeline and exporting XMLs until I got a working file. After 4 attempts I was able to narrow it down to the graphic elements you identified.

I'm posting this process for anyone that may run into a similar issue. Maybe it will help them with a somewhat quick and dirty solution.

Thanks again for your help!
Robert

Your fcpxml is invalid. It contains an invalid letter in a clip titled "College #prep" (the # symbol is where I have replaced the invalid character so that you can see where it is because it's not something that is possible to display)

There is also one called "ACT & SAT #prep" with the same problem.

You will probably find that if you try to import that fcpxml in Final Cut, it will report errors because of these invalid characters.

I have removed them from the fcpxml and attached it here. X2Pro should be able to convert this one

Please help.
I'm working in FCPX 10.2.3
X2Pro Error:
Unable to parse FCP XML file to obtain project information

Suggestions:
- Ensure that the file is not locked by another application and is readable;
- Ensure that this is a valid FCP XML file from a released version of FCP X;
- Ensure that this is the export of a Project, not of a Library or Event;
- Ensure that this is not an empty project (or that all audio is disabled);

X2Pro Audio Convert 4.0.21

Thank you in advance!
