Dear RRLRR,

Were you able to transcode the problem clip or use the workaround Graeme advised ? Would be very grateful for an update or we will just have to assume that all is well.

Yours sincerely

James

For some reason, reading the audio from that file using the QTKit framework from Apple is very, very slow, and X2Pro assumes that it has failed.

Are you able to transcode that clip in order to work around it, or can you live without that clip using the workaround I previously suggested? If this is happening with many of your clips, and the workarounds are not suitable, we will look into what other options there are.

Thank you for providing that clip. I am able to reproduce this issue here now, and am investigating. It has been assigned to ticket 7315 in our system.

For the record, using the setting mentioned in my last post should enable you to create an AAF, but it won't include audio from this clip. The setting is available in the LE version.

Ok, I understand.
No, I haven't tried turning on this setting since I'm using the LE-Version of x2pro... Thank you for this tip.

I am downloading, but it says it will take over an hour, which means I will have left by then.

Have you tried turning on the setting to "Generate a warning and continue creating an AAF file" when "Handling media errors" in the "Media Handling" section of X2Pro's preferences? It might help you work around the issue if you can live without the audio from a few clips.

Damn. No trouble with this file converting the xml from a test sequence. I'll try uploading "A001C132_170606P7_CANON". Thank you.

The file you uploaded (A001C133_170606UP_CANON.mxf) doesn't appear to be used in the project FCPXMLs that you attached. If you are having trouble with this file, please attach the fcpxml and copy/paste the text from the error message in X2Pro

I'm looking into this now. Are you able to play the mxf file (A001C132_170606P7_CANON.MXF) in Quicktime Player?

I forgot to mention that logging out and back in, then converting didn't help either... Any suggestions?

Here is an example file. I wasn't able to upload the requested file C132 because of it's size. Is there some kind of workaround?

What macOS version are you using?
Can you please try logging out and back in then try converting the fcpxml?

If logging out and back in doesn't work, please can you make the media file available for us to download? The media file is called A001C132_170606P7_CANON.mxf and is on a drive called "MÙˆNSTER II", in the folder "FCPX SCHNITT/Final Cut Original Media/2017-06-06"
