Hi Rob,
We have been looking at this and it is not an easy fix, but it will be fixed in the next major release of X2Pro.
Regards,
Daniel

Hi Rob,
This is an odd one, the asset referenced r167, was a compound clip but contained absolutely no media, I am not even sure how it could have been created, it is almost impossible to see it on the time line unless you know where it is. What we are looking at doing is seeing how we can escape such a clip with a warning about it without crashing, its is something we never expected to see.
Will advise
Yours Sincerely
James

Dear James,
Many thanks for this. I'll check and report. I work on El Capitain 10.11.6. How would you advise I can trace back such problematic clips in future projects?
Thanks again.
All the best,
Rob

Dear Rob,
If we use fcp 10.3.4 on Sierra 10.12.6 the fcpxml can be imported into FCP and looks ok, it is a 1.6 XML. If however we try to import the XML into 10.3.9 on High Sierra it crashes FCPX. With this in mind I tried to see what would happen if we were not using AV foundation in the clip and discovered that clip r167 seemed to be issue.
I removed the reference for the clip from your sequence, and it can now be processed by X2Pro, will advise on what development make of the structure of the xml around the reference to the clip r167.
In the meantime will attach the modified fcpxml.
Yours sincerely
James

We need to move forward with the AAF export, what are the alternative ways of getting an AAF/OMF out of FCPX? So far I didn't manage with X2Pro.

Hi Rob,
We are investigating the structure of the XML and we will advise when possible.
What version of FCPX did you create it with?
Daniel

Hi,
For this FCPXML X2PRO crashes immediately. Can you inspect? Also the app fixfcpxml.appspot.com/ doesn't work since it gives me an error as well.
It's kinda urgent..
Thanks,
Rob
