Hi MJTM,

The latest versions of X2Pro no longer support 1.5xmls. I would recommend you update FCPX whenever it is possible as the latest versions of FCP X produce 1.6 and 1.7xmls which we now only support.

Regards,

Daniel

Dear James,

OF course. I am using FCX 10.2.3 and here is the file I am trying to communicate to my sound guy who is using ProTools. It has a timecode and sound clips only.

Dear MJTM,

What version of FCPX are you using ? Are you able to attach the XML to this post for us to look at.

Yours sincerely

James

I'm also getting the 'Unable to parse FCP XML file to obtain project information' message.

I've removed all compound clips and audio transitions from my FCX project file before exporting XML. I'm receiving a long list of clips that won't be permitted (I left only 2 below) but when I look at the timeline, I cannot see anything that would create the problem. Help please.

Details:
Retiming of compound clips is not permitted. The retiming at 00:00:03.30 is not permitted
Retiming of compound clips is not permitted. The retiming at 00:00:38.62 is not permitted

Suggestions:
- Ensure that the file is not locked by another application and is readable;
- Ensure that this is a valid FCP XML file from a released version of FCP X;
- Ensure that this is the export of a Project, not of a Library or Event;
- Ensure that this is not an empty project (or that all audio is disabled);
