Hi,
Yes there is also a screen shot of the FCPX project showing the match frame back to the browser and the source clip having a different track count. It looks like there is something going on even before the xml is made.
thanks the info. I'll try and get the bottom of it in FCPX.
As a thought it would be useful if x2pro could identify the mismatched clip.
cheers angus

The developer had a look at the xml and pointed out that there are 4 audio channels but only one of the four actually references what audio it is using (which explains the "No ref attribute found" message in your X2Pro screenshot).
The basics of what he said are, it is a poorly made xml so re-exporting it again could fix the issue. It could be worth trying to export it as a 1.7 xml to see if that helps. Since it's a problem with FCP X, there isn't much we can do our end unfortunately.
Regards,
Daniel

Hi,
Thanks for this. The editor has now finished the project so I'm sure exactly what he did, but I will try and investigate further. Do let me know if there is anything else you need.

Hi Angus,
Looking at the xml, we get the same issues with it as you. I have created a ticket (7818) for this and will pass it onto one of the developers to see if they can figure out what is wrong with it or a way to work around it.
Regards,
Daniel

Hi,
Just had this error and just trying to figure out why. So I know the xml has an issue as when I try to import it I get DTD validation failed element audio does not carry ref attributes. The xml is attached as well as some screen grabs. It looks like some how the audio clip has different tracks from the video clip its match framing back to in the browser.
any thoughts
cheers angus
