I've looked a the XML - it seems to be related to an issue FCPX had where some clips (even though they were linked) came up black on the timeline. I then replaced them all, but left the originals there as placeholders. Will see if I can clean out any references to old clips before next XML try.

Hi Daniel,
Interesting - no, the XML hasn't been thru any other program (I did check it with XML repair, but then it found nothing to action).
Would you then recommend along with removing the 'retime' instance, removing any -infs or infs instances as well? Just to see what's left?
KdC

The first problem I found is if you open the xml in text edit/notepad you can see the word "retime" written at the beginning of the XML file, this makes the xml invalid so removing that will fix the first unable to parse problem.
The second parse problem is you have a lot of invalid timecodes in the XML. There are 45 instances which have a timecode of either "infs" or "-infs". We have never seen this before and we would expect some kind of numerical value. Has your XML been through any other programs or tools?

Heya,
Am getting this error:
Unable to parse FCP XML file to obtain project information
X2ProLE Audio Convert (Pro upgrade) 4.2.2
What I've tried:
all 4 suggestions on the errormessage, none apply to this case.
I've removed all FX on all clips
I've run another copy of the FCPX generated xml through Pro Maintenance Tools xml repair - it found nothing it needed to repair.
We all know how stressful this can be - sound being at the end of the production chain with no wiggle room - so I won't go into that! I've attached a copy of the XML in case it helps. Screenshot of same attached.
Yes, some clips are retimed. I've broken apart any consolidated clips.
Assistance appreciated :)
Thanks,
Kearon
