This problem was not a problem after all. It was a problem with the software the uploader was using.

I am a first-time user trying to export a .xml file from FCPX. I followed all the steps in the tutorial at www.youtube.com/watch?v=ce2wgL5x1ww and created a file with a .aaf extension. But when the audio engineer tried to open the file it wanted to be opened as a .txt file rather than .aaf and it has all the appearances of a .txt file.

Has anyone had this problem?
