Hi David,

Would you mind running your project through X2Pro again and then sending us a copy of the Mac's console log? Hopefully that will give us a bit more information of what is going on.

From having a quick look inside the XML "EYEBLAST-OPEN-48" is an mxf file. X2Pro struggles with being able to open mxf files, a quick workaround would be to transcode it using Quicktime and then re-export the fcpxml.

Hi, I am an editor for CBS News in NY, editing from home due to Coronavirus!
Using FCP 10.4.3 on Mac OS 10.11.6
1st time using X2PRO

Error message:

Adding assets to AAF file
Adding essence for asset [EYEBLAST-OPEN-48] to AAF file
Opening audio extractor for portion 0 of asset [EYEBLAST-OPEN-48]
Failed to initialise audio extractor with default bit depth of 16
Error Setting up for audio extraction (The operation could not be completed)

Suggestion: Does this movie contain an unsupported audio format ?

No AAF file has been generated.
