Hi Tez,

We have looked into your issue with the clips being out of sync and it looks like it is because one of the clips is using conform rates which X2Pro doesn't support.

X2Pro takes the audio straight from the media file to keep the quality of media as much as possible, because of this all conform rates are not taken from the Final Cut project which is why this clip is longer than expected (the txt. file mentionns conform rates were not applied). It works this way because it was assumed that all audio editing/adjustments would be done in the audio editing software rather than in FCPX.

Many thanks,

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

Apologies, I need to correct myself regarding the file name.
The clip drifting out of sync is:

File name: Pekka Luodeslampi - “WE DON’T SAY RETARD ANYMORE” SCENE
Timecode: 00:00:07:06

Thank you!

Tez

Hi James,

Thanks for getting back so quickly. In regards to the text file, I can do without the filters as they will be redone with the sound designer anyway. But I'm not sure what the retimed clip means, so will look into that.

Referring to the attached image, the purple is the perfect track from the exported video. That particular example comes from:

File name: Pekka Luodeslampi - “WE DON’T SAY RETARD ANYMORE” SCENE
Timecode: 00:00:07:06

If you need more references let me know I can get the sound designer to provide more.

Thanks!

Tez

I hope that helps!

Would it be possible for you to send us the text file that was generated alongside the AAF ? What is the name of the clip that is drifting out of sync?

Hi team,

I have gone through older threads relating to this and have tested accordingly without success. E.g. Removing manual fades, transitions, etc.
Please forgive the repeat in subject post as I feel each case is quite unique to the project since I cannot find a common issue to investigate.

Probably like the rest of FCPX users, I just want to get my project to the sound designer and start working. But this proves to be much harder than anticipated. I have exported an AAF to the sound designer and it's out of sync. We've sifting through forums and have been testing multiple different possibilities without success.

I have attached an image to show the top as the original video track, and the bottom showing parts of the AAF export which drifts out of sync at different rates. It's very perplexing.

I have also attached the xml used to export the AAF.

Would you kindly take a look at this and assist? It would be very much appreciated.

Thank you
