Hi Jreedh
It looks like you have an asset that either has no name or is actually called "nil" that has no media details in the XML. I would suspect the XML is invalid. If you re-import the XML back into FCPX does it import ?
If you can find the reference for this asset in the XML you might be able to remove it from the project.
Would you be able to attach the XML and we can have a look at it.
To confirm has any software other than FCPX had a hand in creating this XML ?
Yours Sincerely
James.

Hello,
I am encountering an error I have never encountered before. FCPX 5.2 is exporting an XML of consistent size (~15MB's), which, when placed in X2Pro, prompts an immediate error. The text of which, follows below.
I have verified that all volumes are mounted and readable by X2Pro, that media is online in FCPX, I have re-exported the XML to ensure that it is of a timeline project, rather than the browser, etc. Each time, this error persists.
Please help! I'm on a broadcast deadline and the gremlins are waking!
Unable to parse FCP XML file to obtain project information
Details:
Asset [nil] has no valid media
Extracting Audio
Extracting audio
Suggestions:
- Ensure that the file is not locked by another application and is readable;
- Ensure that this is a valid FCP XML file from a released version of FCP X;
- Ensure that this is the export of a Project, not of a Library or Event;
- Ensure that this is not an empty project (or that all audio is disabled);
