Dear Licensing,
Apologies for the delay, we have been looking into this and realistically due to changes in the creation of the XML bundle we will be unlikely to resolve in X2Pro, however as there is a different architecture in X2Pro5 it is not an issue in that code. I will forward you a link.
Yours sincerely and thanks for your patience.
James.

So far no decision has been taken on how to handle case sensitive filesystems, I'll speak to the developers and product manager again and see what is holding the decision up.

I'll discuss this with the developers, I am aware that in many cases we deliberately change everything to lower case to avoid some problems caused by Avid storage but this may not be necessary or it may be possible to accommodate case sensitive storage by a preference option.

Hello,
We'd like to request some assistance with an issue our users are having. When they bring in FCPXML bundles exported from FCP into X2Pro Audio Convert, they are getting this error:
Versions:
Final Cut Pro X: 10.6.6
X2Pro Audio Convert: 4.5.16
MacOS: Ventura 13.2
Troubleshooting:
After troubleshooting the issue, we found out that the error occurs only on Case Sensitive filesystems.
For example, if we format an external hardware drive with APFS Case Insensitive, X2Pro Audio Convert will take the FCPXML bundle with no issues. However, if we format the same external hard drive with APFS Case Sensitive, the error displayed will pop up even using the exact same FCP XML bundle.
The behavior seems to be a bug.
Workaround:
For now, we are using this workaround: Renaming the file Info.fcpxml inside the bundle to info.fcpxml with small āIā. Then X2Pro Audio Convert will take the FCP XML bundle.
---
Could we get some assistance with this issue, please?
We'd like to request some assistance with an issue our users are having. When they bring in FCPXML bundles exported from FCP into X2Pro Audio Convert, they are getting this error:
Unable to parse FCP XML File
Details: Unable to parse FCP XML file to obtain project information.
Suggestions:
- Ensure that the file is not locked by another application and is readable;
- Ensure that this is a valid FCP XML file from a released version of FCP X;
- Ensure that this is the export of a Project, not of a Library or Event;
- Ensure that this is not an empty project (or that all audio is disabled);
