Hi David,
At the moment X2Pro is not able to extract audio from R3D files, so any project containing audio from R3D files will show the message that you are seeing.
To get a bit more technical; X2Pro uses the Quicktime API to extract audio which is why one of the suggestions is to verify that "the media can be played using QuickTime player".
This has been discussed before in this thread , where I suggest a workaround that might work.

Hi there,
In FCP X 10.0.7 which fully supports the integration of Red R3D media files which include both audio and video, it appears that X2Pro is unable to extract the audio from RED R3D media.
I get an "unrecognized" file type error.
Will you be adding support for this file type? It's really the only file type I use in FCP X, without support for this file type the converter is quite useless for me.
