Usually the academic versions are fully functioning versions. Because of the rush nature of the project, I just outputted it based on roles (and tried to clean it up as best as I could first). He then edited it in cubase, his preferred program. Of course, it didn't have all the handles and editing but was just a straight audio file, which made it harder.

I thought I might ask someone who has the latest protools to try to import it just to see if it works. Anyone interested?

Sorry for the late reply, Are you sure that his version of Pro Tools supports AAF import? Has he ever imported any AAFs before?

I don't think AAF import is not supported in LE versions of Pro Tools, but I am not familiar with the academic versions.

I'm sending my AAF file (X2ProLE) to a person who has ProTools Academic 7.3.1. He gets the following error:

"Could not complete your request because error reading aaf wave data."

Thoughts?
