Can't import AAF into STP or Logic ?

I do understand your frustration, but you have to be aware that X2Pro is designed to create an AAF for Pro Tools. It does work with some other devices (Nuendo and Pyramix) but this is because they implement AAF the same way that Pro Tools does. Essentially we are creating an AAF that is specifically Pro Tools friendly, if it works with other devices then that is good, but it is not what the software was designed to do.

Crashing is probably the scopedBookmarkAgent process in OSX, the solution is to log out and back in, the scoped bookmark is out of our control, in our new code the app will not crash and will warn about scopedBookmarkAgent issues if they happen and advise you to log out and back in again. We hope to release 2.1.9 later today.

There is a workaround for R3D media in software older than 2.1.9 as we did not support this media, and you appear to have applied this, however its possible the workaround doesn't work for all eventualities. We now support R3D in 2.1.9.

Hopefully by the time you're up, we should have 2.1.9 available for you to upgrade to from the app store.

I've managed to finally get X2Pro to export an AAF of my project (a 10 minute short film) but the resulting AAF doesn't import into any other application i own. I've got SoundTrack Pro and i get the message 'error opening AAF file'. In Logic it does actually create a load of tracks but none of the audio is there on the timeline.

The app also crashes regularly when i try to export to certain folders. In fact i think this must the the flakiest app i've ever used.

I've got to get a Pro Tools guy all my sound from within FCP X and right now i can't get anything by using this app. I went through the timeline and cleaned it up, got rid of any compound clips, and audio that was a storyline, i made sure that everything was in fact detached from the video and that all the R£D media had been stripped of audio. I'm in a suite tomorrow and i can't get an AAF file. I'll have to resort to straight roles exports which is not ideal as i've got lots of dialogue clean up to do.

X2ProLE is not creating a usable AAF file for me right now.

Any tips?
