R3D or proxy

X2Pro 2.1.9 (the current version available the app store) is able to cope with RED clips and even extract audio from them. This means that you won't have to do any of those "tricks" to get it to convert like replacing RED clips with gaps.

I have FCP X 10.0.8 and looking to purchase x2Pro LE. I am using proxy files (MOVs) in my timeline. All the audio is separate WAV files and not R3D. The audio was attached by making compound clips.
Do I still need to replace all the 'original R3D' files with gaps?
