Rory,
This message normally shows up when the ScopedBookmarkAgent process (part of OS X) has stopped working properly. This process is something that X2Pro relies on for reading/writing files outside of the application sandbox, so this is why you are seeing the message when you try to choose a destination. Unfortunately X2Pro can't do anything about it because the ScopedBookmarkAgent process is outside of it's control.
Have you tried logging out of OS X and back in, like the message suggests?

This is the error message I receive no matter where I try to save AAF...
I HAVE ATTACHED THE AAF I am trying to create AAF from.
X2Pro was not able to set this folder as the AAF destination.
This may be as a result of a failure of an operating system service. Logging out and back in again may fix this.
