- Volume that has been adjusted to a single level over the whole shot will be converted to clip gain.
- Volume that has been adjusted for only part of a shot, or to more than 1 level within a single shot will be converted to automation gain. This is because in an aaf, it is only possible to apply one level of clip gain per shot.
- Disabled shots or audio tracks will be converted to automation gain.
- Fade handles will be converted to automation gain and will always be linear fades.

Sometimes volume converts to clip gain and at other times it converts to automation. What determines which it's choosing? Is there a way to control which is used?

Hi Mike,
X2Pro ignores any panning information, but it does convert volume adjustments to clip gain and automation gain in the AAF

Does volume and panning info from FCPx make it thru x2pro in the AAF?
