I've been told that the current version does not have dongle support, but it could be possible in future versions.
If we were to implement dongle licencing, we would have to charge for the dongle (on top of the price of the software).

I think (though I would have to check to be sure sure) that we do a version of X2Pro (that is available outside the app store) that can have a licence tied to a dongle instead of an Apple ID. This would allow the app to be run on any machine that has the dongle plugged in.
Let me know if would be interested in this option.

I ended up networking the clients computer and sharing the drives... allowing me to run X2pro on the original workstation. Considering the cost of this app, it would be great to offer a portable version to make it easier for post production companies to use. Thanks.

The licence for X2Pro (in the App Store and in the X2Pro's "About" window) contains the following text:
... so I don't think you are allowed to do what you are trying.
You can drag and drop the app on a USB thumb drive, but running it on a different machine would violate the licence.
2. Scope of Use.
A single licence may only be used on one workstation.
3. Right to Transfer.
You may not resell, transfer, rent, lease, lend, copy, modify, translate, sublicense, time-share or electronically transmit or receive the Software, media or documentation.

Hi. I need to temporarily run X2Pro on a client's computer to get a project off their machine.
When I attempt to run it (remotely from my workstation), it askes for my AppleID password. If I enter this, will the clients computer permanently keep this information? Will anything be installed on their computer? If so, how should I uninstall?
Another question, is there a way to install X2Pro on a USB thumb drive?
Thanks!
