It looks like the beta was able to cope with the RED clips better then and now is reporting a different message.
It sounds like you have chosen to "Reference WAV files in place", but your project contains audio that is not from a single channel WAV file. That means that you have used audio that is either from a mov or red clip, or from a multi-channel wav file.
X2Pro doesn't want to reference audio that isn't from a single channel wav file because we know that most audio software (e.g. Pro Tools) have problems with AAFs that reference audio from these types of files.
There are a few options for you:
The first and second option will definitely suppress the message, but will create an AAF with some or all of the audio embedded in the AAF.

There are a few options for you:
- Don't reference WAV files in place, this will cause X2Pro to extract all the audio and embed it in the AAF, your audio software will then be able to extract the audio from the AAF when it opens it. This is probably the easiest option, especially if you are sending the AAF elsewhere because everything is wrapped up in a single file.
- If the audio is in multi channel WAV files and you know that your audio software can use referenced multi channel wavs (Pro Tools can't), you can choose to "Reference multi-channel WAV files" in the X2Pro preferences. This won't help if you are using audio from other sources like movs or RED clips
- Change the preferences to "Embed the media optionally trimming" when X2Pro encounters media that can't be referenced. This will make X2Pro reference all single channel wav files, but embed the audio from anything else in the AAF.
The first and second option will definitely suppress the message, but will create an AAF with some or all of the audio embedded in the AAF.

I have tried the beta version.
This is the text from the error message:
- -
Writing AAF file
Getting audio characteristics for asset [bee_movie_sound_final]
Error trying to create reference for asset (not a WAV file or too many audio channels)
No AAF file has been generated.

I sent you a private message with details of how to get hold of the beta version.
The beta will stop working after about a month and the app store approval process often takes weeks, so please let us have feedback as soon as possible so we can decide if it is ready for submission to the app store.

We have a beta version of X2Pro which we think should solve the issue you are hitting here with RED clips.
Would you be interested in trying it and letting us know how it goes before we submit it to the app store?

Thanks,
It looks like it is the same issue that others are reporting.
The RED clips have been created by a newer version of the RED SDK than the version that X2Pro is using to extract the audio.
We are already working on a fix but unfortunately at the moment there is no known workaround.
I'll keep you updated with any progress we make.
