Margot,

Was the problem you are reporting after you had upgraded to v3.0.1, or is it with v3.0.2?

We are aware that v3.0.1 had issues so we pulled it from the app store quite soon after it was available, then fixed the issue and made v3.0.2 available as soon as possible.

From your other forum posts, I can see that you were upgrading around the time that 3.0.1 was available, but you now say that you are using 3.0.2. Does this mean that you are no longer seeing the "crash"?

X2Pro is licensed through the Mac app store, and the Mac app store only allows for one version of a program to be available at a time, so there is no easy way of reverting back.

At what point does it crash? (e.g. as soon as you load the fcpxml, or immediately after you hit the start button)
Is there any error text you can copy/paste into the forum?
Are you able to attach your fcpxml?

Just upgraded to version 3 and it doesn't work. Thought I had a corrupt file so I tried it on an XML I just converted and it crashed. Any way of reverting back to the old version? this is urgent.
Thanks
Margot

X2Pro version 3 (with uncompressed audio in an MP4 file support) has just been released in the app store as a free upgrade

"A125-1-2.mp4" is used in your fcpxml. It starts at 01:03:18:10 and ends at 01:03:26:07.

When I open your FCPXML it appears on the second track above the primary storyline.

File Attachment:

File Name: Episode24.fcpxml
File Size:134 KB

I have a problem that I can't fix.

I am getting this error:

Writing AAF file
Adding assets to AAF file
Adding essence for asset [A125-1-2] to AAF file
Opening audio extractor for portion 0 of asset [A125-1-2]
Failed to open audio extractor
Error Opening asset (/Volumes/TRBP BEYOND THE SET/CARMILLA /FCP X Library/Carmilla The Series.fcpbundle/Episode 25/Original Media/A125-1-2.mp4) with QuickTime (An invalid sample description was found in the movie.) [-2041] []

Suggestion: Please ensure that:
- the media file has not been moved or deleted;
- you have added its location to the Media Locations in preferences;
- the media file can be played using QuickTime player.

No AAF file has been generated.

The file it says that it is getting hung up on isn't even in the project or XML that I exported. I verified the XML and the issue persists. The video file can't be opened in QT7 but since it isn't even in the XML I am at a loss as to why it is tanking the process.

Please advise. Thank you.
