You could try that. It would be interesting to know if that works.
The other user with the same problem was able to workaround it by logging in to OS X as another user (that maybe didn't have the effect plugins available) and export the fcpxml from that account.
Let me know if either of those options work. If not, there is another option we can try.

The only other time we came across an fcpxml of this kind of size was when an OSIRIS effect plugin has been used. Are you using OSIRIS effects in your project?

That is VERY large for an xml file. We have seen this once before as a result of certain effects storing huge amounts of data in the xml and it is almost certainly the size of the xml that is causing the error message.
If you compress (zip) the fcpxml does it get much smaller?

Thank you for the quick response. Really appreciated.
It's about 900mb, does that sound wrong? I tried to attach it, but it wouldn't upload. Probably because of it's size.

Hi X2Pro
I'm a new user of your program, and I'm having trouble trying to convert my fcpx xml files to AAF. I have make sure that my fcp x i and x2pro is updated. I'm also sure that all of my files are accessible to x2pro.
This is the error i get every time:
The following errors were found:
• Unable to parse file /Users/Kent/Documents/Til SimonSuperSound/Hele filmen dialog til lydmix.fcpxml (The file “Hele filmen dialog til lydmix.fcpxml” couldn’t be opened.)
No AAF file has been generated.
I have no idea of what is wrong. I hope you can help me quickly, because i have a deadline today.
Cheers Kent
