Hi Savs,

We are struggling a little bit here with this, would be extremely grateful if you could advise whether you have managed to get round the issue and was it only related to that specific FCP XML ? Have you been able to use X2Pro successfully on other exports since ?

Please advise and many thanks

James.

Were you able to remove that clip? Did removing it enable you to convert your project?

The error message isn't saying that it can't find the mov file for r9. I think X2Pro is having trouble understanding the FCPXML.

We're investigating why and I'll let you know as soon as we understand what is going wrong.

Hi,

I am having a problem with X2Pro accepting an FCP XML file.
The error that comes up is:
Unable to parse FCP XML file to obtain project information
Details:
Getting asset with Id r9
Unable to find asset with Id r9

I opened up the XML file via a Text editor to see what Id r9 is, and
I was able to locate the exact file in the exact folder that the XML file is referring to for it.

I don't understand why this error is coming up.
I have tried several different methods of exporting the XML file from FCP-X,
and have confirmed that it is indeed a Project XML and all files are properly in place.
Also, to confirm the XML is correct, I opened a new Library and imported the XML, which came into FCP successfully with no problems.

Why is this error coming up?
Thank you!
