Failed to open audio extractor

X2Pro version 3 (with uncompressed audio in an MP4 file support) has just been released in the app store as a free upgrade

Glad you've found the fix. It's because your MP4s contain PCM audio and QT 7 / FCP 7 / X2Pro only support compressed audio in that type of wrapper. Renaming them to M4Vs makes them work (as you have found).

Apparently QT doesn't like these .mp4 files - I had to change all of them to .m4v

Suggestion: Please ensure that:
- the media file has not been moved or deleted;
- you have added its location to the Media Locations in preferences;
- the media file can be played using QuickTime player.

No AAF file has been generated.
