Thanks for letting us know, and for the offer to help debug. We already have a few AC3 clips that we can reproduce this issue with, so we've probably got enough to work with. Thanks again.

Hi Graeme, thanks for your response. I believe the clip "test" was an AC3; I converted it and dropped it back in and the AAF export worked just fine! Don't worry about getting back to me for my sake, but if it would help the development team, I'd be happy to supply any more info if that would help them to understand what was going on.
Best,
Kyle

I'm afraid it's not clear exactly what is going wrong. I have referred the case to the development team and will update you with what they find.
We have seen similar error message when users have clips that contain a mix of audio types (including AC3 audio, which is not supported by X2Pro). Do you know if any of your clips contain AC3 audio?
The two clips called "test" look odd in the fcpxml, are you able to replace them with a gap, and try converting that? If that works, could you put the "test" clips back in by attaching them to the gap and try converting that?

I'm trying to generate an AAF file and am unable to do so. After setting up direct sharing from FCP X to X2pro and sharing my project, an error message appears:
An error occurred converting Final Cut XML to AAF.
Details:
Writing AAF file
Adding assets to AAF file
Adding essence for asset [test] to AAF file
Adding essence data to AAF file for portion 0 of asset [test]
Adding audio data to AAF file
Adding Sample Data
Creating Essence Data Objects
Wrong number of data buffers (1) passed to Add Sample Data (expected 2)
Error code: 0x1
No AAF file has been generated.
I'm on FCP X 10.2. and can provide any additional information if needed. Help would be greatly appreciated - trying to get AAF to my sound guy and we are up against deadlines to finish the project for a festival screening.
