Your new fcpxml has 180 retimed clips. To see the retiming; focus on the timeline, press CMD+A to select everything, then press CMD+R to show the retime editor above every clip.

If there are any clips that are "Normal" (100% speed), that are out of sync in the AAF, please let me know the name of the clip and the time it starts in the project.

Hello,

My tracks are not sync, you tell me that it's because X2Pro doesn't support the retiming I didn't do. All (or almost) my sound tracks in FCP 10.1.4 are green, and none (or almost) are sync.

So, I send you another XML and a screenshot of my FCP Timeline.

Thanks for answering as fast as you can,

Basile

Then they should all be in sync except 4 of them

In the attached screen grab from your project, there are clips that are playing at "Normal" speed (green), and other clips that have been retimed "Slow"/"Fast" (orange/blue). All clips that are not "Normal" (green) will go out of sync in the AAF because X2Pro includes the audio at it's original speed.

Hi, thanks for the answer.
What do you mean when you say "retiming"?

My audio clips are in 48Khz/16bit, my FCPX timeline too, and my pro tools project too.
So if "retiming" means do a conversion between 44,1 and 48, this is not what i've done.

There are a large number of clips (310) that have been retimed in your project. X2Pro does not support retiming, so the clips will be included in the AAF at their original speed. The duration of the clips should be correct (it may be shorter if the clip was slowed down and there isn't enough media to fill the clip's duration), but it shouldn't push other clips on the same track out of sync. If you are seeing clips that are NOT retimed, that are not in sync, please tell me the name of them and a time code and I can investigate.

The track layout looks fine to me. X2Pro uses the magnetic timeline whereas Pro Tools/AAF uses fixed tracks, so there can't be a direct mapping from one to the other. There will, of course, be more tracks in the AAF because all the tracks are mono, so a clip with 4 tracks in FCP X will take 4 tracks in the AAF. X2Pro will sort clips on tracks by role, but all your clips have a role of "dialogue", so they are all put on the track in the least number of tracks possible.

Hello,

What I meant by "pist" was "tracks", sorry for my english.

It would be easier to name you the clips which are sync, because except at the very begining, everything is unsync, plus there are sound tracks who doesn't exist on the fcp timeline who appears on protools.

If it's easier for you, I can do a screen share via skype to show you whats the exact problem. Skype name : captainbasile

Thanks

Hi Basile,

Can you please explain what you mean by "pist"?

Can you please attach your FCPXML and tell me the name and timecode of one of the clips that is not in sync.

Hello,

When I change the XML to the AAF of my project, there are pist which aren't on the fcp X.1.4 timeline (but in the library) who appears, and everything is unsync.

Do you know where it can come from ?
