Audio keyframes are applied as automation gain in the AAF unless they are a single level adjustment applied to the whole clip, when they are applied as clip gain.

Fade handles are applied as automation gain, and are always applied as a linear fade regardless of the shape in Final Cut.

The discard transitions option only applies to transitions like "Cross Dissolve".

Some DAWs (I think perhaps Logic?) may not import the automation gain from the AAF, but it is there, and Pro Tools will use it.

The knowledge base may have the information you want about what will/won't be included in the AAF. The main things I can think of are that retimed and conformed clips will be put in the AAF at original speed and all audio effects will be ignored.

Hi,
Just wondering what if any audio keyframes get passed throughout to the AAF? The "Discard transitions" function does this apply to fade handles or is it filter transitions?

cheers angus

ps it there a list anywhere of what does an does not translate in the AAF or in the DAW?
